Courses at Hempmill

These short taster days are a great way to try throwing on the potter’s wheel, in the comfy, informal and friendly surroundings of our fantastic fully equipped pottery studio.

You’ll have a quick introduction to wedging and preparing clay before getting onto the wheel. All tools and materials are provided, and each student has their own wheel. The session is made up of demonstrations, one–to-one tuition and lots of practice; Richard will work with you to ensure that you get the most out of this intensive but enjoyable session. After the class, we’ll glaze and fire your three best pots for you to pick up later.

Includes materials, firing costs and plenty of tea, coffee and homemade biscuits.
10am -1 pm. Six people per class. £85
